SEPARATION OF POLLUTANTS FROM WATER USING THE FREEZE - CONCENTRATION PROCESS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 10 › Nr. 7 In this study, the application of freeze-concentration method to treat low-concentration polluted water was demonstrated. The effects of stirring, the temperature in a freezing cabinet and the volume of water involved in the freeze-concentration treatment of pollutants were investigated under laboratory conditions. The removal of pollutant by freeze-concentration treatment was also attempted. Results had shown that the ratio of pollutants removed was about 83% when the experiment was carried out... SURVEY ON TYPICAL ORGANIC POLLUTANTS AND HEALTH RISKS OF MAIN WATER SOURCES IN YELLOW RIVER BASIN
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 12 › Nr. 9 AbstractTo understand the typical organic pollutant contamination status of the main source water in Yellow River basin, samples werecollected from fifty source water points (including reservoir and river) in Yellow River basin. The samples were analyzed for therepresentative organic pollutants, including benzene homologous, chlorobenzene compounds, organophosphorous pesticides, and nitrobenzene compounds, total of 17 compounds. It was observed that all concentrations of the 17 compounds in the ... Autori: Jijun Gao ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=26155
SEPARATION OF AROMATIC INTERMEDIATES OF BIOLOGICAL INTEREST USING EMULSION LIQUID MEMBRANES
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 14 › Nr. 2 Abstract
Established applications of emulsion liquid membranes (ELM) refer to refining in hydrocarbons and hydrometallurgical
processing, rehabilitation of poisoned patients. In this work we investigated the separation of aromatic compounds of biological
interest, more often encountered as intermediates in dyes and drugs industry: aniline, nitrobenzene, ortho and para-toluidine,
using emulsion liquid membranes. The experimental results showed that in the case of basic substances separation t... Autori: Alexandra Raluca Miron ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=26650
INFLUENCE OF FIREBALL COUPLED WITH A TOXIC PUFF RELEASE ACCIDENT CONDITION ON CONSEQUENCES AND POSSIBLE DOMINO EFFECT OCCURRENCE FOR TWO RISKY NEIGHBORING CHEMICAL PLANTS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 14 › Nr. 11 Abstract
A study of a classical BLEVE fireball model associated with a toxic Puff release one was made in order to evaluate the influence
of accident conjugate conditions on its consequences in two neighbouring industrial plants. The possible occurrence of the Domino
effect is also exemplified for the approached chemical complex including two sensitive neighbouring chemical plants including
tubular reactors for catalytic oxidation of butane to maleic anhydride and catalytic hydrogenation of ... Autori: Hasan Hadi Salman Khwayyir ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=26880
CHANGES OF ARSENIC SPECIATION DURING SWINE MANURE WINDROW COMPOSTING AT FULL SCALE
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 17 › Nr. 7 Organoarsenic compounds are used extensively as swine feed-additives to promote animal growth and control diseases, e.g. roxarsone (4-hydroxy-3-nitrobenzenearsonic acid) and arsanilic acid (4-aminophenylarsonic acid) are usually overused in swine industry in China. As a cost-effective technology for animal manure treatment and reuse, composting is widely used for swine manure treatment. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate changes of arsenic species and fractions during a full... Autori: Rui Wang ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=27683 |
