SYNTHESIS OF NEW CATALYSTS BY INSERTION OF Co AND Cu IN THE MATRIX OF HYDROTALCITE-LIKE MATERIALS FOR CINNAMALDEHYDE HYDROGENATION
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 10 › Nr. 10 Abstract:This study is focused on the influence of Co and Cu ions located in Zn/Ni/Al matrix on the structural, textural and catalyticproperties of layered double hydroxides (LDHs). The samples were prepared by co-precipitation (Ni2+/Co2+(Cu2+)=0.25;M2+/M3+=2)) at low super-saturation and afterwards characterized by XRD, nitrogen physisorption, thermogravimetry, FT-IR, DRUV-Vis and TPR. The XRD results show that the resulted solids are well crystallized and contain only pure phases of LDHs.Also,... THERMAL STABILITY AND SURFACE STRUCTURE OF SnO2-CeO2 IMPREGNATED CATALYSTS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 11 › Nr. 1 Newly prepared SnO2-CeO2 catalyst samples used as depollution catalysts were characterized applying low-temperature nitrogen adsorption (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermo-gravimetry (TG-dTG) and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) methods. Pure SnO2 has higher surface area (17 m2/g) than the pure CeO2 (8 m2/g). Addition of organic tin oxide precursor to ceria in amount of 5 wt% slightly decreases the surface area of CeO2 (SSn5-Ce= 7 m2/g). The increase of tin oxide content to 10 and 20 wt... EFFECTS OF CERIA CONTENT ON PHYSICOCHEMICAL AND CATALYTIC PROPERTIES OF NANOSTRUCTURED CeO2/Al2O3 USED FOR CATALYTIC REMOVAL OF TOLUENE FROM WASTE GAS STREAMS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 16 › Nr. 2 The effect of ceria content on the physicochemical properties and catalytic performance of nanostructured CeO2/Al2O3 for removal of toluene from waste gas stream was studied. The properties of the catalysts were addressed using XRD, FESEM, BET, TPR-H2 and FTIR techniques. XRD patterns confirmed the formation of CeO2 with average crystallite size of 7.8-8.7 nm. FESEM images confirmed the presence of fine particles between 25.2-189.1 nm. BET results showed that nanostructured CeO2/Al2O3 had high s...
