VISITOR MANAGEMENT TOOLS FOR PROTECTED AREAS FOCUSED ON SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT: THE CROATIAN EXPERIENCE
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 13 › Nr. 6 AbstractThe protected natural areas are becoming increasingly popular vacation destinations with both international and domestictravellers. Protected area may be an area of land and/or sea dedicated to the protection and maintenance of biological diversity, and of natural and associated cultural resources, and managed through legal or other means. It might have many differentpurposes. This means that biodiversity protection, though a critically important function is far from being the only purpos... CONSTRUCTION OF NAUTICAL TOURISM PORTS AS AN INCENTIVE TO LOCAL DEVELOPMENT
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 15 › Nr. 2 Nautical tourism is a phenomenon that in the last three decades has recorded one of the highest development rates known in the
European and Croatian economies. Economic forecasters for tourism development agree that nautical tourism is in its early
stages of development and that increasing results are to be expected. From a scientific perspective, however, nautical tourism
development is still not sufficiently represented in the science of tourism. In Croatia, nautical tourism is seen as a ne... Autori: Mirjana Kovačić ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=26962
ASSESSMENT OF AVERAGE CONTRIBUTIONS OF POINT AND DIFFUSE POLLUTION SOURCES TO NITRATE CONCENTRATION IN GROUNDWATER BY NONLINEAR REGRESSION
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 19 › Nr. 1 Different anthropogenic influences and irresponsible actions pollute all the components of the environment and groundwater is no exception. Nitrates, which are one of the most common groundwater contaminants, come from different sources and they are not always easily detectable. The paper presents a study of a groundwater quality at the Varaždin wellfield in the north part of Croatia. The nitrate concentration at this location has been above the maximum allowed concentration for several decades... Autori: Marko Šrajbek ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=28140
ASSESSMENT OF GHG EMISSIONS IN EUROPE: FUTURE ESTIMATES AND POLICY IMPLICATIONS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 19 › Nr. 1 Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions represents a global challenge and a quantitative approach is a support for decision makers. The aim of this paper is to estimate future values of GHG emissions in Europe, considering different periods of reference and through two common mathematical parameters (average annual growth rate (AAGR) and compound annual growth rate (CAGR)).
Results analysis show that a reduction of GHG emissions can be reached. However, some Member States (MSs) as Ireland and Netherland... Autori: Federica Cucchiella ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=28144 |
