Environmental problems of copper complex in Bor area
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 6 › Nr. 4 AbstractThe paper discusses some environmental problems caused by the presence of the copper mining and processing complex in the Bor area (Eastern Serbia). The Bor area is a serious hot spot in Serbia. Unsupervised operation of the mining company RTB Bor, without any protective measures, has led to extreme pollution of the Bor River, the Danube and underground waters, soil pollution with heavy metals, air-pollution with sulfur-dioxide etc. Recommendations are suggested as follows: a sustainable... The cleanup of environmental pollution involves a variety of techniques, ranging from simple biological processes to advanced engineering technologies. Cleanup activities may also address a wide range of contaminants. Technologies to remediate contaminated soil fall into two principal clean-up approaches: in-situ (which is always done onsite), or ex-situ (which can be done on- or off-site). solutions. To promote a certain investment, the well-known Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) is still widely used. This became an
international practice, since there are so many publications that develop principles for the application of the aforementioned
analysis. This paper proposes a new method to replace the BCA with a rational process of multi-criteria assessment, whic... Autori: Altan Abdulamit ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=27988

APPLYING TRIGONOMETRIC LEVELLING FOR MONITORING THE VERTICAL DEFORMATIONS OF ENGINEERING STRUCTURES
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 18 › Nr. 9 Among the usual geodetic methods of vertical deformations measuring of structures and natural objects, geometrical levelling is one of the most accurate, but also requires compliance to specific conditions of slope and terrain accessibility. Where geometrical levelling is difficult or impossible to apply, the trigonometric levelling can be a viable practical solution, if there are followed a series of procedures to improve the accuracy of the final results.
