Abstract
The health effects caused by air pollutants may range from slight biochemical and physiological changes to difficulty breathing, wheezing, coughing and aggravation of existing respiratory and cardiac conditions. This paper presents an experimental study of air quality in the city of Tg. Jiu, Gorj County, by evaluating the air-floated powders of the PM10 fraction and lead from air. The analysis was performed by measurements in sampling points using the method presented in the European Norm EN 12341/1999.
The experimental results showed exceeding of the limit value (50 € 25 ?’?Šg/m3) for the air-floated powders and lead.
