Abstract:
Because today in the European countries a large majority of the companies are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and a
very significant number of the European Union employees work in these companies there are is an important need for risk
estimation software tools dedicated to this economic environment. The SMEs research development activities, products
development, new technologies implementation, etc., imply knowledge and assumption of multiple risks. As a result of a new
product development in SMEs economic environment paradigm, we focus on in this paper on knowledge bases (KBs) built and
used for professional risk assessment (PRA) as part of risk management process (RMP).
