WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK FOR WILDLIFE MONITORING
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 10 › Nr. 11 Abstract:This paper illustrates a detailed analysis of specific problems and limitations of a WSN designed for an environmental protection/wildlife tracking application. Since the main challenge in designing the network is energy minimization for activities that does not concern detection itself, we will concentrate on methods (and results) to achieve that. For data transmissions, physical and MAC layers were defined in ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4) and WiFi (IEEE 802.11b) standards.... are those caused by human negligence or natural disasters such as earthquakes. Aggravating circumstances are those considered as
being limit. The proposed thermovision equipment with appropriate accessories must highlight and determine... Autori: Catalin Spulber ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=27997
DAIRY WASTEWATER TREATMENT IN CONTINUOUS STIRRED TANK ELECTROCHEMICAL REACTOR (CSTER): PARAMETRIC OPTIMIZATION AND KINETICS
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 18 › Nr. 6 Dairy wastewater has been a major environmental concern because of massive effluents characterized by high pollution load. This
study reports the influence of initial pH (pHi), residence time (τ) and elapsed time (t) on the %COD removal (Y1) and specific energy
consumed (kWh per kg of COD removed, Y2) for real dairy industry wastewater treatment in continuous stirred tank electrochemical
reactor (CSTER) using aluminum electrodes. Central composite design (CCD) was applied for designing th... Autori: Poonam Kumari ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=28011
ASSESSMENT OF CORROSION INHIBITORY EFFECT OF Ruta chalepensis FLAVONOID EXTRACTS ON API 5L X52 STEEL IN 1M HCL MEDIUM
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 18 › Nr. 9 The development of green eco-friendly inhibitors for the corrosion of metallic surfaces in acid media is still considered as a major challenge and target for corrosion-mitigation engineers. We have prepared in this work 4 different extracts from the plant Ruta Chalepensis using methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and aqueous ethyl acetate solvent systems. The flavonoids content, as well as the other oxygenated compounds, in the 4 extracts was carefully screened using the gas chromatographic&nda... NOVEL APPROACH FOR FINDING SHORTEST ROUTE USING DIJKSTRA’S ALGORITHM AND FUZZY LOGIC IN A WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK INTEGRATED IN A FOREST FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 19 › Nr. 6 This paper proposes a Fuzzy Logic Controller/ Dijkstra’s Algorithm based software that calculates the most reliable communication link between a WaspmotePlug&Sense Sensor Node and a Meshlium Router in a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The algorithm implements the effect of three parameters important for the functioning of the WSN: Waspmote involvement, the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and the distance of the Waspmotes, for achieving optimal work capability of the system. Du... Autori: Nikola Manev ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=28225
APPLICATION OF PASSIVE SAMPLERS FOR MONITORING O3 AND NO2 AND CORRELATION OF CONCENTRATION LEVELS WITH METEOROLOGICAL DATA
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 19 › Nr. 11 This research applied passive air pollution samplers to monitor the concentration of the pollutants nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ozone (O3) in order to investigate the relationships between pollutant concentrations and meteorological variables. The study was carried out in three strategic sites in the municipality of Erechim, Brazil, which provide intense traffic of small and large vehicles. The pollutant analyses were performed using the method of UV/VIS spectrophotometry. NO2 concentrations vari... Autori: Eduardo Pavan Korf ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=28326
STUDY ON ELECTROCHEMICAL ADVANCED OXIDATION PROCESS TO TREAT FISH MEAL INDUSTRY WASTEWATER
Environmental Engineering and Management Journal › Vol. 19 › Nr. 12 Fish meal processing industries convert the raw fish into a various commercially edible form. The effluent generated from this industry comprises a large amount of pollutants leading to high values of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen
demand (COD) and total suspended solids (TSS). Mostly traditional biological and chemical methods have been adopted to treat the effluent coming out of the fish meal industry. By using these traditional methods at the end of the process, a large amo... Autori: Rajagopalan Varadarajan ISSN: 1843 - 3707 http://www.ecozone.ro/reviste.php?RID=28335 |
